Whoo - Hoo! Stampin' Up! is now carrying WOW! Embossing Powders! What makes these so WOW is not just their awesome meltability and shine, but they are ANTI-STATIC! That's right! The powders *and* their containers are double treated to be anti-static.
Being anti-static means if you forget to use your Embossing Buddy, it *should* be okay and the powder shouldn't stick where you don't want it.
However, Anti-Static doesn't mean that they are anti-moisture so if you handle your work, oils in your hands will transfer to the Cardstock, thus creating a base for the powder to stick to, so we do still want to use our Stampin' Buddy if we think about it. Try to handle your cardstock from the sides.
The WOW! company also strongly recommends that you don't decant the powders as the jars are treated to be anti-static. For the same reason, they also recommend only ever using metal spoons/scoops when working with the powders, rather than plastic.
Also, you may notice little teensy tiny white balls in your embossing powder. They add a couple of special products to their powders which make them perform so much better than the other powders on the market.
The white balls are formed when they remove moisture from the powder (that is a good thing, I guess). This is nothing to worry about, it is perfectly normal and just a part of what makes WOW! powders so fantastic!
When you heat the product the white balls just disappear and will not affect the finish.
