Stampin' Sat date change, and exciting April Stampin' Up news!

 No April Foolin' - there is a LOT of news!

Tempus Fugit! Times Flies! EVERYONE has to have their own Stampin' Up account by April 15!! Due to banking security rules, we will no longer be able to put in payments for customers. This means there will no longer be host codes, and, for now, no workshop shipping. If I put your order in, you will receive an email with an invoice. Your order is not complete until you pay the invoice. The *REALLY GREAT NEWS* about this is, you will start earning rewards with purchases as low as $20!! With the new site, as of April 15, customers will have a new Rewards Account. Stampin' Up will put 10% of every order, $20 and higher, into your new Rewards Account! You can accumulate these rewards for a full year! For example, if you earn $4.00 in April '25, you have until the end of April '26 to use those rewards! If you earn $5. in May, $3 in June, and then $10 in July, you could use them all together in April. The system will use your oldest rewards first. Create your account HERE if you have not already done so. It is simple!

First Up: Stampin' Saturday in April is moving to the 4th Sat! That's right, the third Saturday is Easter weekend, so make plans to join us at 11 a.m. on April 26 for 2 happy cards! As always, I charge only $5 OR an order. Reservations are required by April 25.

Card 1 is a fabulous butterfly themed card with a special surprise inside! The cover is a happy Spring scene using the Paper Butterfly Accents and sponging on the color inks of your choice. Open the card and a flurry of butterflies will fly up to greet your special recipient!

                                           

Card #2 uses a special technique to color a sweet background to send a special someone an encouraging word with sentiments from Motherhood Mottos. 

                                              

Can't make it April 26? Stamp by MAIL!!!!  $10 for 1 card and only $15 for both will get you all of the materials, stamped, cut and colored, dimensionals if needed, and detailed instructions for assembly and techniques used all mailed to you the Monday after class. Payment through PayPal (friends and family only, no comments please or PPal deducts funds) or Zelle. I will text you the tracking when I mail your package. No other adhesives will be included and the designer series paper for card 1 *may* vary, according to demand.

 The Stampin' Up 2025 - 2026 catalog will be going *LIVE* in May! 

Our Water Painter manufacturer is no longer making the water painters. Once we sell out, they will be gone until we find a replacement manufacturer.

You may want to get a few packs of cardstock before the new annual catalog goes live ... As usual, there will be some price increases. Our cardstock will be going up a bit, and Basic White and Very Vanilla will no longer be thicker packs of paper - all single-color cardstock packs will have 24 sheets per pack, and assortments will contain 20 sheets. 

Our 8 1/2  x 11" cardstock packs will be $14 per pack. 

Our 12 x 12 dyed cardstock will be $22, while Basic White Thick Cardstock will be $26.

Why the increase? Well, there are fewer paper mills producing high-quality crafting and card-making paper. Many mills have either shut down, consolidated, or shifted production to more profitable paper products due to changing market demands. Several factors have contributed to this:

1. Mill Closures & Consolidation – Some paper mills have closed or merged due to rising costs, environmental regulations, and declining profitability in specialty paper production.
2. Shift to Packaging & Industrial Paper – Many mills have prioritized the production of corrugated cardboard, packaging materials, and tissue paper, as e-commerce and food packaging demand have surged.
3. Declining Demand for Traditional Paper – With the rise of digital communication, fewer mills are producing high-end paper products for printing, scrapbooking, and crafting.
4. Cost of Specialty Production – Making high-quality, thick cardstock requires specialized processes, which some mills find less profitable than high-volume, lower-cost paper products.

Most Produced Paper Products at a Paper Mill:

The most produced products at paper mills today tend to be:

• Corrugated Cardboard & Packaging Materials (due to online shopping and shipping demands)
• Tissue & Toilet Paper (household essentials with steady demand)
• Printing & Office Paper (though declining, it’s still a major category)
• Newsprint & Magazine Paper (declining but still produced in some regions)

Crafting and specialty cardstock is a niche market, and with fewer mills prioritizing it, prices have gone up.

This bundle not only has the stamp set and dies, but also a 3D Embossing Folder! We will be using all three!! This card is on a flat base and it is actually the main butterfly itself that makes the card! YES! There is a large butterfly shaped die that actually cuts a butterfly-shaped card base!  It can be a card on it's own (and how cute would *that* be) but I have chosen to mount it on a double layer card panel.

Paper Pumpkin News: 

March is the Paper Pumpkin Anniversary! Expect a special something extra in this box! Subscribe or Pre-Order by March 10 to join the fun!! In March, we will be creating happy Daisy Daydream cards! And don't forget the coordinating dies, Spring Is In The Air! Only $12 and it adds so much to your crafting fun!  It will also coordinate with the Jan and Feb kits! The bee and honeycomb have not been used yet, so, hint at what is in the March kit! I post a video on youtube every month, putting the kit together and completing a few alternate ideas! Are you subscribed yet? Here is a link to the Feb Paper Pumpkin video! IMPORTANT!!!! Paper Pumpkin is moving to Stampin Up, meaning, you will no longer be taken to a separate website to order or pause your Paper Pumpkin kits! The ordering tab will be turned off from midnight to 10 AM March 10, then all will be on the one SU site!  If you are a subscriber and do *not* have an SU account, you must create one BEFORE March 10. If you are already a subscriber with a Stampin' Up account, call or message me and I will help you link your PP to your SU account. You will need to claim it in your SU account. You can also watch THIS VIDEO to see how to link your accounts.

MORE VERY, VERY IMPORTANT STAMPIN NEWS.......

By April 15, *all* Stampin' Up! customers must have their own Stampin' Up accounts. Demonstrators will no longer be able to put your payment in for you. We can put in your order, but SU will email you an invoice through your account. You must have a registered account. Simply to Stampin Up , click SIGN IN, and create your account! The Stampin Up website will go down for 6 hours April 15 at 8 am MT while the permanent switch to the new system is made. 

Also, there will no longer be HOST REWARDS. Instead, for EVERY order you place, $20 and higher, you will earn 10% towards a future purchase, to be used within 1 year. I am loving this change!! No longer have to have a $150 order to get some rewards! This is also a  *cumulative* program!!! You can save up your earned reward money to use to place a large order if you want. Remember, though, if you let the reward $$ in your account grow, your monies will expire 1 year from when they are earned. The amount in your account earned in May will expire the next May, the amount in June will expire the following June, etc. Save it up but spend your $$ before they expire!
